In 2013 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a reoccurrence in 2018. Luckily, the Walnut Creek CSC is one block from my house, and I took full advantage of all of their free support services. I have been cancer free for 6 years and I still meet with my support group several times a year.

I am volunteering at the Cancer Support Community's 10th annual Hope Walk. Each year I join the planning committee for the Hope Walk and each year I hear new stories from families that have been affected by cancer and how they've been helped by CSC.

They say that knowledge is power and CSC gives cancer patients their power back. Now I volunteer to make sure that families in need of counseling, support and education receive the same free services that I received.
