Welcome to Team Bosom Buddies. As most of you are aware, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2022 and underwent, surgery, chemo and radiation. During that time, I enrolled in the newly diagnosed breast cancer support group. This group helped me immensely while undergoing treatment. I made many new friends as a result and gained lots of insight through others going through or having gone through the same journey I was facing at the time.
What many of you may not know is that I also utilized the services provided by the Cancer Support Community during my late husband Duane’s brain tumor cancer battle more than 13 years ago.
This organization is very near and dear to me not only through my own journey as cancer survivor but also as a caregiver.
