In 2021 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and went on to undergo chemo, surgery, and radiation. After my first round of chemo I joined the newly diagnosed breast cancer group. This group was my safe haven, my emotional support, a shoulder to cry on, and a whole lot of laughs. I couldn’t have made it through treatment without these amazing women.

In survivorship I have also gotten support in the Youngish group where other AYA cancer patients have been able to provide mirrors to my own experience as a younger person tackling cancer. The laughs, the love, and the support I received was more than I ever could’ve hoped for.
