I am excited to take part in the Hope Walk 2024! My dear dad, Bob Hackney was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer in June 2011, days after my 21st birthday. As a family, we witnessed my dad’s tenacity, humor, courage, and strength in the fight that followed, until his death in August 2017. My dad was my buddy, best friend, and the single most impactful positive influence on my life. I miss him everyday.
To honor his memory and legacy, I’m asking my friends and family to walk with me, donate, or spread the word about this incredible opportunity to spread hope to those living with cancer, cancer survivors, and caretakers alike.
