Hi Friends & Family,

The Cancer Support Community SFBA has and continues to be near and dear to my heart. From the time I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, through treatment and recurrence in 2016, through survivorship and then grief with the passing of my beloved brother, Marc, from prostate cancer in 2021 - CSC has been there for me every step of the way. My gratitude cannot be adequately expressed in words. The Hope Walk is a way that I can give back to the CSC to help and support others facing cancer.

At this year's Hope Walk, I will be part of the Team Stanford Medicine, representing the Patient and Family Partner Program (PFPP). PFPP is comprised of volunteers who advise, consult, speak, and participate in hundreds of patient experience improvement and marketing engagements each year. The goal of the PFPP is to bring the patient and family voice into design and improvement work aimed at improving patient care at Stanford. I am proud to serve as the Chairperson for SHC Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) - East Bay Cancer which is part of the PFPP.

I will be at this year's Hope Walk to provide information about Stanford Health Care's PFPP and encourage others to volunteer with us and participate in improving the patient experience.

Please help me support Cancer Support Community by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Cancer Support Community's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.

Together, we can make a difference!

Much love and hugs,
Jan
